Who is Bill Oolie anyway?

Posted in Uncategorized by Tj Nelson on October 25, 2010

Who is Bill Oolie? With a few of our peers, we will be diving into the mind of Bill and learning of his acts of heroism, his strengths, and his fears.

By using football as a component to our story our intention is to bridge the insular world of contemporary art with the more ubiquitous world of American sport. In our story, quarterback Bill Oolie is symbolic of America’s need for a champion. These images detail some of the different incarnations that his character has taken on. (via Oh Nancy)

On Friday, November 12th Saturday, November 13th the GARFO Art Center will be having the opening reception for The Hideout – a collaborative work national art collective, Oh Nancy.

Opening is SATURDAY, November 13 :) I know it’s weird to have a GARFO opening on a Saturday, but we are doing a dance party fundraiser after, and we didn’t want to overlap CUAC’s opening on Fri.

Really looking forward to the piece!
